All Workshop resources (For April 8) will be posted here.
Pre-workshop
Install OpenDSS - https://sourceforge.net/projects/electricdss/files/latest/download
For third session we would probably need
Python3 - a version appropriate - if 64 bit recommend 3.9 - Install the native GUI IDLE
After installing Python 3 please install CORRECT Version of Pywin to Match your Python version - https://github.com/mhammond/pywin32/releases
Rest of the material will be uploaded after the start of the workshop.

Part 1: ~1 hr
Introduction to CSTF - Townhall 1 and 2
Introduction to basic power distribution system modeling
Introduction to OpenDSS as a FOSS tool
Part 2: ~1 hr
Modeling a simple distribution system
Modeling DER
Running power flow
Analyzing impact
Part 3: ~1 hr
Running OpenDSS using python API
Python-based automation for system impact studies
This workshop will introduce practitioners to approaches to evaluating the impact of Distributed Energy Resource (DER) integration on the power distribution system. At the end of this course, the participant is expected to be able to add DERs to an existing distribution system model and run power flow simulations in OpenDSS independently, both using the native interface and programmatically using Python. The workshop will include an introduction to the theory and a hands-on group-based exercise. The participants are expected to install OpenDSS and Python before the start of the class if they want to participate in the hands-on part of the workshop.
